TYPES OF BULLYING
Many people believe that bullying is when one person is physically hurt by another, but in reality bullying is so much more complex. There are so many different ways in which kids can harrass others that often do not get recognized as bullying. But because of new technology, bullying can happen both online and in person.

SOCIAL BULLYING
Social bullying is often also referred to as relational bullying. In this form of bullying, the bully is damaging someone's reputation or relationships. This is most commonly intentional, and one of the worst forms of bullying. This is more seen with girls, who use the social world to damage how someone is viewed. This form of bullying is so horrible because it breaks down self-esteem. Social bullying covers:

Excluding someone on purpose

Convincing others to not be friends with that person

Spreading rumors about someone

Embarrassing them in public
This happens every day with girls in school environments. This form of bullying often goes unnoticed and is not recognized as harassment, especially exclusion. However, social bullying is not the same as cyber-bullying.
These types of bullying vary. They can happen to both boys and girls, but it is bullying if it happens repeatedly.
PHYSICAL BULLYING
Physical bullying is the most recognized form of bullying. When people think of bullying, it is usually physical. Physical is mostly a problem among guys like social bullying is for girls. Physical bullying involves harming a person's body or belongings. Physical bullying covers:

Kicking/ hitting/ punching

Spitting
-
Tripping/ pushing

Taking/ breaking someone's possessions

Making rude hand gestures
However, some of these actions depend on the situations to be classified as bullying.
VERBAL BULLYING
Verbal bullying can happen both on and offline. This form of bullying is not specifically common in just one gender and happens all the time without being recognized as bullying. Verbal bullying is the act of saying or writing mean things. Verbal bullying includes:

Threats
This form of bullying has large impacts because words do matter.
